Is a 400ex a goox trail quad, would it be good in the mud if i put mud tires on it and geared it lower, what other mods could i do to one that would make it better for tight woods riding and mud. Also is there any way to increase the ground clearance. Thanks

 

Larger diameter tires would increase ground clearance. The 400ex is a great trail quad, but if you are looking at nasty mud, you may want to look into a 4x4.

 

I also drive through creeks and up the banks on the sides which are over six inches high.....i have a friend who has a 300ex and he can do it but he almost got stuck in the creek.

you should be fine my brouther inlaw has a 4x4 and i can go just about any where he can.
