Default I can't beleive this dealership ripoff at it's BEST!

Ok my dad's friend has a 03 rancher es 118 miles NEVER been ridden hard been jsut used for pulling drags and short trips(point a to b) never been muddin or nething it looks BRAND NEW and he decided to trade it in for a bigger 4x4quad and well he takes it to the dealership and has the paper work all fileld out jsut need his sig and the quad he wants is liek 6100 and he paid like 5800 and well the deal goes ill give u 3k(3100 for the trade in) rebate for the trade in and he goes f u u r f'n outta your f'n mind... Rip up that f'n paper and he did and he said soem other stuff... ( don't wanna get suspended for cursing again) and he still has it..

Sounds decent to me. Heck, I only paid $3949 for my brand-new '04 Rancher ES 4x4 and that was out the door.

You never get what you really want on a trade in, Selling it yourself, is the only way to go. Plus, you need to take in depreciation. Like what's been said, where's the rip-off?

Usually you agree on a price, make a deal, THEN fill the paperwork out. Rather than throwing a hissy fit, maybe your Dad's friend should shop around first.

How much or how little it was used does not affet the trade in all that much. As soon as it is sold and registered it becomes a "used" vehicle and the trade in value drops off. The dealer has to resell it at a profit to make money, which is the purpose of business. You are better off selling it yourself, then dealing on a new one with cash. For what its worth all that foul language does not help to win friends and influence people.
