I was just sittin here being bored and thought to myself is it possible to put electric start on a 250R? I mean I'm not lazy or anything (yeah right) I was just wondering. How hard would it be??

I wanna know basically the oposite, is it possible to put a kick (say from a 250x) on a 300EX??

...As far as going to a kicker on a 300, look closely at the right side case halves on each if you get the chance. They are the same. Find a 250X
side cover and the internals and they will interchange (to the best of my knowledge.) The 300ex is a 250X with a bigger bore and electric start, other than that they are the same basic motor.(I have one of each, plus my race 250R's)

I agree with quadracerin, the motors are basicly the same except that stroke is longer in the 300EX. The bores are exactly the same. You would also need the camshaft cover in order to incorporate the automatic compression release. You can start them without the compression release but it's a bitch. Best way would be to have a blown donor engine.
