Default I NEED ADVICE>

I have a friend with 2 4oo ex's both bone stock they are the 2000 model..

He wanted me to get on here and find out anything and everything about performance mods... he was thinking about the 440 kit but as i was searching i found that they get really pricey.. which is weird to me because my raptor wasnt that much.. .. My question is.. what exactly is the best set up.. what size piston what compression(dont really wanna replace the rod) what brand piston. Cam?/(companY) Price:??? Pipe>... aribox mods.. JUST anything and everything would be wonderful companies that have the best parts/prices.. should i need an aftermarket clutch? what bout the 416 kit??
Whats the best sproket set up?

If you want a 440 keep your compresion down, run an oil cooler-bigger oil tank. They build heat and can blow head gaskets. The 416 seems to be reliable, and can still be bored one more time to 426. That will build heat also. I have a 87mm piston in mine, that is the 416 piston. I have no problem with heat and I ride it like I stole it from my ex-wife. To get the 440 on mine I got a stroker crank, not recommended, way to much $$$$.

For a cam I have the Web 450-451 bottom end cam. It is better then stock but very mild. Web has atleast 3 more above mine. You have to decide where you want your power if you want to lug or rev.

Curtis sparks offers the most power for a 400 pipe. They are well made and seem to work on the 440's.

Throw the air box lid away, and get heavy duty springs for the clutch. Any aftermarket filter will work.

$$$$ 500 fore the pipe, 440 kits are $250 I think. A 416 piston is about a 100 bucks plus bore your cylinder. Air filter 30 dollars.

The sky is the limit. Or do it $50 at a wack.
