Sorry to keep you all waiting, but yes, My opinion is that Polaris sucks, the reason for it is that I used to own 2 of them, one i won in a raffle and the other i bought and had it for 2 years. I experienxed lack of power, and a lot of problems in the wiring, and some reason I would foul a lot of spark plugs...I dont know, if you wanna get a polaris go for it, i just had a bad past time with them...

Look dude. I wanted a quad that could do everything. I got the 400Ex. There are 400 class bikes out there with reverse and watercooled. But this quad has the XR 400 engine which is bullet proof. Has won more Baja's than any other engine and the reliability is unchallenged. I have had my quad in from everything from motocross tracks, trails, back road riding, mudding, jumping, riding wheelies and anything else you can think of. It does everything really really well.
If you are looking for a pure mudder, go with a 4x4. If you are looking for a pure sand rail go with the Predator or Banshee. If you are looking for a pure MX go with the YFZ or 450R. But if you want a all purpose bike that you don't have to wrench on and can hang with anything, go with the 400ex.
I have rode a scrambler. Pretty bike but I wasn't impressed. Felt top heavy underpowered and my friend always has it in the shop. Polaris should have stuck to sleds.

Polaris Is a good company. The ergronomics are off and they just don't have the years of experience that Honda does with ATVs. Nothing against polaris but they just are not in the same category as honda when it comes to sport quads there 4x4 semms pretty nasty. The Predator in my opinion is not that great the seat is very unforgiving my ***** took quite a beating. The 400ex is the best all around quad hands down I 6'2" and weigh near 250lbs and my 400ex is smoking fast and will push me around in the dunes nicely and it is extremly comfortable to ride.
