250r ex

i have a chance to get a 86 250 r motor for around $500. i would like to know how hard it would be to put the r motor in my 300 frame and is there anyone out there who has done it? Thanks

dont forget to add on the money for custom pipe, carb, intake, and if your lucky you might be able to use the 300's airbox. If your a good welder you can save a lot of money and time by making the engine mounts yourself, but if not be prepared to spend lots of time and money taking your whole bike to someone that can. This is by no means a bolt on one day project. Watch what you get yourself into.

I was going to do this with a 310R motor.

It would of ripped..

But i didn't have to cash for the motor.

You need a custom pipe, motor mounts, i believe they are water cooled so a place to mount that.

Not an easy task
