how fast can this auto quad go. would it be able to keep up with a 300ex? thanks

 

the 250ex is around 52mph top speed,that is a few mph slower than the 300ex on top end.In acceleration the 300ex is quicker because its a manual clutch,where the 250ex is auto clucth.

The 300ex's top speed is higher than the 250ex's by quite a bit. Not that the 250ex isnt a good quad its just the engine came out of a 2/4 working atv and was not designed specifically for preformance.

 

250ex has a different crankshaft than a 250 recon....
my 05 250ex has only a jet kit and it runs 60.........didnt think a jet kit would raise it 8mph.... i got it new with the jet kit

well i have both a 300 ex and now i have a 2005 250 for my wife ,my 300 is deff. faster but it has every bolt on mod out there on it, but the stock for stock the 300 will do bout 58mph and the 250 does 57mph not much difference. As for excelleration the 300 has a slight advantage becouse of the clutch it grabs a bit sooner in the rpm range. So yes 300 is faster but not by much. hint: the 250 goes into reverse a hole lot easyer than the 300 does.

 

well its hard to belive that a 250ex can do 60 with a just a jet kit on account that all a jet kit does is change the ail/fuel mixture, and the 250ex is limited with its top sepeed due to the shaft driven rear end, so it dosnt matter how many mods you have, there is a stop for the 250ex and i might be mistaken, but with mods i think the limit is in the mid-60's, but, you will be getting to those 60's much faster
