DynoJet Question....need help!!
#1
I am putting on my DMC alien full exhaust on my 300ex and I need help! I also got the DynoJet kit and a K&N airfilter along with it, and I am confused. I went to DMC's website and got the jetting instructions along with the chart that shows which jets to use. My question is which one in the jet kit is the pilot jet? The DMC chart says to use a 40 for the pilot jet, and I cant find a 40 in the kit that I got. There are a few baggies with different size jets ranging from 108-130, but there is no 40. Also there is one baggie without a number, and it is bigger than the other jets. Is that the pilot jet? Id appreciate any help. Thanks guys.

ok maybe this might clear up my question above. What is the size of the stock pilot jet in a 300ex? If it is anything other than a 40 (which DMC recommends) i will need to change it.

I think the stock pilot jet is a 38. if you still can, i would return the jet kit, go to your dealer, and buy a few jets around the size that DMC reccomends for just a few dollars each instead of spending 45 or 50 for the jet kit. you can also pick up a pilot jet there too.

yep, i think thats what im gonna do. i dont even need to use the needle or any of the other jets that come with that kit. DMC says to use the stock needle and leave it in the middle groove, 128 main jet and 40 pilot jet. I wonder if the place I bought the kit from will take it back since I bought as a bundle with a K&N filter.
