I have a 87 CR125, which has a ticking noice..... it goes away once you accelerate but at idle it is pretty loud. (in neutral)

Any idea what it could be? (i was told by the previous owner that it was the "aftermaket reeds" but that doesnt make sense to me.... so anyone have any idea what it can be and how i can check it?

 

Probably some bottom end play er something would be my guess could be reeds, only way to find out is to rip er down. When is the last time it had a top end? could just be piston slap even.
