trx 450

I wouldn't say that it wheelies quite as good as the 400ex. But you can do some good wheelies once you get used to the powerband and have the right sprockets. I have a lot of fun doing wheelies on it, but it did take a while to get used to. The only real hangup is if you stand it straight up, it floods the carb and is a mother to start. The best way to deal with this is to. set it down, shut off the gas, drain carb and then kick it about ten times to start it.
It's a pain, just don't let it stand up- if you go that far, hit the back brake. As far as power goes, 1st, 2nd, 3rd gear wheelies are not a problem though. I think you can pop them in higher gears, but don't quote me. I'm pretty much a 1st and 2nd gear wheelie person.
Hope this helps....

It's easier to find the balance point on the 400 but the 450 wheelies great once you figure it out. I have stood mine on it's tail twice (on beach sand) while doing wheelies. Once I was able to hit the back brake and bring it back down ( all this in 3rd gear) and keep going. The other time I couldn't reach the brake and I stopped on the tail. It did flood the carb and I sat there for 5 minutes waiting for the gas to drain out of the carb so it would start. So if you start going back onto the grab bar hit the back brake and you will be fine.
