i can het a 03 400ex and an 03 polaris pred for the same price, right now i have a warrior, i will be doing moastly trail riding, whitch do u guys thing would b better 4 me? thanx!

 

for trails the honda, my friends 03 had the trany problem also

 

Get the Pred, They both arent the greatest on the trails but the Pred just gots way more power and its got alot more of everything. Better Suspension and everything. Alot better all around quad then the EX I think.

 

My vote would be with the EX, unless you're getting an '05 pred with the reverse. Nothing against the Pred for sure, as I'm sure they're an awesome machine, but the EX's proven track record for reliability make it a very strong contender.

Have you thought about the kawasukicat 400's??

 

Predators are susceptible to tranny problems. The 400ex has won more Baja 1000's than any other quad made put together which is the ultimate testimony to durability, reliability and endurance. It has the XR 400 engine which has been around for 20 years and is fricking bullet proof. It is still heralded as the high water mark for trail riding. Nothing against the Predator, you will find people that have them in their garage and are smiling. I think the first guy that wrote that is like 14 and doesnt' own anything but a dirt wheels mag.

 

overall speed went to the predator, although my 400 is a 440, stroked type. and until i maxed out the pred was chasing, the traction in the trails was to the honda hands down climbing hills was no contest, just the pure drag race went to the predator, no jumping went on so that might have went to the predator also.

 

The pred is alot better right out of the box. It is really no comparison, the pred is just so much better than a STOCK 400ex. I raced my built 440 against a pred and it was always either a tie, or i'd edge him out. Note that my quad is anything but a stock 400ex. One thing about the preds that i noticed is that they are very uncomfortable, I rode my buddies pred and i was sick of riding it after one lap of teh duine, I rode it some more later on and it started to get more comfortable, but not much. The preds seating geometry makes sense, but it's just so damn awkward!

 

Why does it say in your sig you have a 02' 400EX and you said all you have is a warrior right now and in your bio it has a pic of a 400EX and you say it's yours and it says autotrader in the bottom right corner? Also you said you want a 03' 400EX or a 03' PRED why would you want one if you already have one? Something fishy is going around here.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-frown.gif[/img]

 

Get a 400ex. Predators have had too many problems, and most peolpe arent satisfied with Polaris

 

Get the Pred. They're not even in the same ballpark performance wise.
