My buddy has a stock ex but got a 440 kit installed and I set up a race between him and a stock z400. He left it in the dust through all gears. He even kept up with my rappy til the end of 2nd where I pull like none other. But I was very very impressed. Even as a yamaha owner, I have alot of respect in Hondas ( esp. modded ones) because even when my Raptor is down, all my friends Hondas keep on riding. Anyways, ride safe.

With me having the problems I am with my Raptor, I am half-tempted to sell it, buy an EX, 440 it, and be happy with reliability. Right now, I am so frustrated with Raptors that I want to get insurance on it, than set it on fire.

The raptors my friends have, whatever year seem to cause a lot of trouble they do have great power though. BE A MAN AND DON'T PUT YOUR BURDEN OF A POOR PURCHASE ON OTHERS THROUGH INSURANCE FRAUD, JMO. The 440EX is an exceptional ride. Mine was built in 1999 and has not had any rebuilds. At dumont on competition hill I can soundly beat piped Raptors and Predators.

I am trying to talk him into the pipe and filter also. He will eventually. I guess I shouldnt talk him into it. He will be more of a threat to me then.
