cheap mods for 300ex

hey peeps hows it going my name is Joe im 14 and i just got a 2001 300EX a month ago and well i want it to go better in the top end and still be able to keep its awsome low end thats where u the pros come in to help me out....i have a limited amount of money...so if ya could give me some cheep but efficant mods to bring up the speed and clean house one the strip i wuld appricate the help THANKS for the much needed replys

Hey joe to get top end on a fourstroke your looking at some big bucks there.

get a 14 tooth front sprocket, they cost from 8-16 bucks, thats prolly the cheapest mod you are going to find, or get a K&N power kit... those are pretty reasonable... later

i have a 2001 300ex and it cost a few shinny pennies to get its goin like you want but it can happen. i live in shenandoah, pa we climb huge silt banks here and it takes alot of hp to get up them.

The cheapest real gain thing I can think of is to order a camshaft for a 250x (yes that is correct) and install it in your 300ex. It drops right in and has more lift and duration. Helps alot, of course, a pipe, air filter, etc.... but a pipe is more than a $100 cam from Honda.

also adjust the throttle cable this helps most newer hondas out i put how to in the thread "wanting more horsepower"
