Default 250ex sputters when I rev it in neutral

Any ideas guys? It came like that from the dealership. It's a 2004 and it's practically new, maybe 5 hours on it and that's with my girl riding it slow. I'm thinking it the the scres on the carb, but does anyone have the right settings and location of them?

thanks,

Dale

Edit: Actually to clarify what it does. I think it's backfiring, but it's so quiet it's more like sputtering out the exhaust.

Don't think so. It does it when I rev it only a little too. Basically anytime I rev it no matter how much, it backfires. I'm thinking the screws on the carb are not adjusted correctly from the dealer.

ur just hitting the rev limiter, u can fix the problem by not reving it in nuetral.
