Has anyone tried the dial-a-jet on a 400ex? I was thinking about installing one in order to help with the hard starting problem I have. Am I wasting my time and money or would this help the cold-blooded 400EX start better? Thanks in advance for your help.

 

Ever used a choke. Dial a Jet wont really make a difference for starting, all it does is add more fuel. Just give the ex a little throttle while cranking it over or just use the choke.

 

Its your rev box that makes it so hard to start

Yeah I think its your rev kit also. Ive heard WB and a few others have shltty kits which make it very hard to start especially in cold weather.

 

I don't even have the rev box on it. I put a new plug in it and drained the bowl and played around with it a bit and it started surprisingly easy. Not sure if I could be that lucky next time I go to start it.
