valve cover

has any one else noticed two spots on the valve cover wearing really fast. i think its the plastic mud guard plate thats doing it . any body else?[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img]

I went looking for the carb, and threw away some parts. Did I fix it? Is there more stuff in the way?
