Are you talking about the utility 300ex or the sport 300ex?

( π ) (37^2) * (65.5) = ( π ) (1369) * (65.5) = ( π )*89669.5= 281075.0425 mm^3

divide by 1000 to convert to cc so 281075.0425/1000= 281.0750425cc

so there ya go, offcially the displacement is 281.07 cc

Holy crap thats technical....

Last I checked there isn't a utility 300EX...unless you consider the old FourTrax 300 to be a "utility 300EX", but they stopped making them a few years ago, though I do believe the engines were similar, same displacement I believe.

sporttrax stopped production in 2004. The new lineup of 05's is the TRX lineup as far as I know.

Irregardless of what it is, it's a pretty tight race between the 250X and the 300EX.

Enjoy the ride!!

rob, that formula seems incredibly complicated, but as i was reading it, i realized something, it's basic math. all ur doing is finding the area of a cylinder. ne ways, if u have a bore of 74mm and u wanted to order a piston, u would order a 74mm piston, right?
