It really comes down to the trails and which one you really want and need. I really wanted a sport quad to replace my Warrior. I came to the realization that I needed a utility quad. The trails are just too rough and muddy (deep) in some areas. There's a lot of steep incline and declines with deep ruts and large rocks. I could also use the utility to pull things around like my boat. I also wanted something that could keep moving in deep, slick snow.

I will eventually buy another sport quad. But it will be in addition to my ute or utes.

There are many, many quads to choose from. How did you narrow your search down between the Z400 and Foreman?

If your trails aren't too treacherous and you aren't going to work with the quad. Go with the Z400.

i narrowed it down to them because my dad has a foreman and my brother had a z and he let me ride it and i really liked and with 05s having all those up grades is even better actually instead of the z it would be the kfx400 i like the orange

I HAVE JUST PURCHASED A FOREMAN ABOUT TWO WEEKS AGO. I LOVE IT , BUT IT IS A LITTLE HEAVY IF YOU RUN HARD ON THE TRAILS..IT WILL CLIMB ANYTHING YOU PUT IN FRONT OF IT, MUD HOLES ARE NO PROBLEM AND ITS RIDE IS PRETTY PLUSH. BETTER THAN THE 03 RANCHER. MY GODSON HAS A SPORTRAX ATV. WE RIDE TOGETHER ON WEEKENDS..I USUALLY END UP PULLING HIM OUT OF MUDHOLES OR HE IS SITTING BY WATCHING SOMETIMES WHILE I AM CLIMBING A ROUGH HILL. I WOULD DEFINATELY CHOOSE THE FOREMAN BETWEEN THE TWO. IF I WAS RACING MY ATV OF COURSE IT WOULD BE THE SPORT ATV, BUT THE UTILITY ATV'S ARE SO MUCH MORE VERSATILE. FOR GENERAL USE AND FUN TRAIL RIDING I THINK THE FOREMAN WOULD BE THE WAY TO GO FOR YOU.. PROBABLY WILL HAVE A BETTER RESALE VALUE AS WELL AND A LARGER CLIANTELL WHEN YOU GET READY TO SELL OR TRADE..JUST MY OPINION. HAVE FUN.

maybe compramise, go with a wolverine or scrambler 500 4x4, heavy, but it give you your sport and 4wd when you need it, also if your doin alot of rock hoppin in the trails, the suspensions a little stiff. never driven a wolvy.

something in between the two might work. A sport ute with 2x4 to 4x4 selectable. Good suspension and the ability to play around and work when needed. The wolverine , scrambler 500 are good 4x4 sport choices or maybe a Kawi 360....Bruin 350...

Good luck with your purchase
