anybody bore out their 300ex?
#2
We have a 305cc kit on the 300ex. That doesn't seem big but stock is 282. There is bigger and better kits but they are more money. We spend around $500 on our kit, which included a cam and port job. The 330 and 352's are way faster. Go to Powroll.com and see there kit prices. The 305 is 3 years old now and there hasn't been a single issue with it. I have boiled the oil on a race track and it still runs great.( come to find out I can't race my wifes quad anymore) I was being hard on the clutch, trying to flat track it like a 2 stroke.

I have a 300ex bored and stroked to 406. So far I haven't had any problems with it other than stuff that was my fault which im still working on. I've road it hard for a hour straight, no oil cooler, with pretty much pinned a lot of the time working on wheelies. Didn't over heat or anything.
