I know this subject has been covered a thousand times, but i just would like some recamendations for the best pipe for a Honda 400ex.

 

I have a friend that runs a cheap DG pipe we found on ebay and it screams. A little loud but it works very well.

 

Supposedly the best top end power gain, as tested by Dirt Wheels magazine awhile ago, was from the White Bros. E-Series. The Pro-Circuit (T-4 I believe) was tenths of points off in terms of HP from the White Bros. E-Series. I feel the Yoshimuras are overated, at least on the EX. They were too pricey for the results they produced. Go to www.dirtwheelsmag.com and search for the exhaust pipe shootout for the 400 EX. There were some 10 popular pipes involved and all of their results are given at the bottom.

 

I love my t-4. If you look at that dirt wheels thing, you see that there is almost no difference in power from the wb. But, you look at noise, and you see that the t-4 is quiter, a lot quiter. I love the sound of mine! It is a rumble instead of just loud noise.

 

Curtis Sparks has the best power gain, overall power. The E-series was a good balance betwwen money and power, BUT I have 2 E-series slip on mufflers on 2 400ex's. They have both been to the fab shop for repair. They have the lowest quality of anything I have ever put on any of the 8 quads my wife or I have owned. I would not give you those mufflers ' cuz that would be ripping you off.

I know other people are happy with them, but I am not.
