What is faster a stock Honda 250r or a stock 400ex? If the 400ex is faster what would it take for the 250r to be as fast as the ex?

 

The 250R is faster. Not a whole lot faster, they are pretty tame from the factory.

 

i dont know. a stock 400ex is faster than many think however, my 250R has left alot of 400ex sitting there. this may seem unbelievable but in the sand, my friends raptor only beats it by a bike length or so- not by much. he has paddles, i dont. if i had paddles, i dont think it would be a contest.
now i have been beated by some pumped up 400EXs before; they beat everything that day and they didnt say what kinda juice they were on.

 

Id have to say 250R cause i have a 98' CR250R and i raced my friends stock 400ex i beat him by like 5 bikes at least...[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

I guess if you think about it .. stock HP on a 250R is probably around the high 20's or maybe even 30 or so HP right? And if I'm not also mistaken, the 250R is a pretty light machine ... so I don't think it would be much of a contest.

 

i think the average bike beats thew average quad, my dads honda 250 pulls at least like 80-85

 

When I had my 91' XR250R I could beat my friend's predator until we hit high gear..then he caught up..slowly.

 

Stock 1987 250r is 38 hp.. 400 ex is 26-28 hp.. Now how should win?

 

I believe the 250R had a top speed of low-mid 80's out of the factory. The 400 EX willl do 70 MPH at most from the factory.
