Default New Machine Maintenance

Does anybody recommend taking a new machine (rancher 4x4 ES) for the initial service. I do not have a warranty and have a heard a lot about how Hondas are maintenance free. I am not very mechanically inclined myself, so that's out. The cost is about two hours labor at $65/hour. I have a Recon ES which does have a warranty and has been fine so far, it's a year old.

Any thoughts?

Default New Machine Maintenance

Hi. If the wheeler is new it should have the 6 month warranty which is standard on all new wheelers. The first service is most often to drain the oil , flush the transmission and adjust the valves. These are all non complicated and are something you should learn for future reference anyway . Instead of paying for the first service why not go buy a service manual . I am not mechanically inclined either but my service manuals have been abel to walk me through most of the maintenance I have needed to preform. I would suggest you do have the first service proformed...either by yourself or by the dealer...it is up to you.
