I am planning on building a trx500r project. I am actually going to use it for my senior mechanical engineering design project, how sweet is that. I dont have a cr500 motor or a trx frame so i need both and i would appreciate any info from anyone who has attempted this project. I definatly have the skills to do it, so you if you have any knowledge or parts for sale let me know.

 

That will depend on your price range for the parts. I'd use a 400 EX frame as they should be easy to find.

 

i suggest the 250r frame i mean it already has the mounts for the radiator and i've seen some people trx500r quad they seem to fit nicely with almost no modifications...and i hope you pass hah

 

Before you start take a ride on one of those sometime . They vibrate so bad due to lack of counterbalance that they are really not as much fun as one would think .

Think twice before you start .

yea i have heard many horror stories about the vibrations. I was going to try to do it with the idea of trying to make some sort or anti-vibe motor mounts. I dont plan on riding this thing daily but i would like it to stay togeather for more than 5 minutes.
