Default honda rancher pricing?

I am considering the honda ranches es 2wd as my first purchase for an atv-- I don't get to ride much so I don't want to put the money into a foreman 4x4 which is my "dream" machine. I've ridden both es and s models and prefer the es for $200 more.

I just want some feedback on how much I should expect to pay for one of these machines? I know they retail around 4100, but what is a reasonable offer to make a dealer?

Also, does anyone have anything against the rancher?

I plan on keeping this machine at least 3 years.
Thanks!

I cnnot help you much on the 2 wheel drive but if it's a useful reference point, I was able to get a new Rancher 4X4 ES for $4500.00 from my friendly neighborhood dealer.

I paid $3983 (o.t.d.) for my '04 Rancher ES 4x4 back in April. It was worth the drive. I saved myself about $900. The dealers here in Charlotte are way to proud of their machines.

Southern Honda

Even though mine is an '05 it appears as though you have done very well indeed. Congratulations. Is the link where you purchased your machine?

Yes, that is where I picked her up. I am going back for a recon when tax season comes. I think that is the best time of year to buy. Their prices have gone up since I bought mine but not by much. I am thinking that I got lucky and just bought it at the right time of year.

Southern does sell them cheap but I think they count on you purchasing an ext warr or some other add on.

What is the website for this dealer that sells for less? I tried the link up there and it didn't work-- do you have any suggested salesmen?

Southern Honda
I plan to buy a new Rubicon when they come out. Southern Honda and Abernathy's is about the same distance from where I live and they both have comparable prices.

How was Southern Honda to deal with? Does anyone have any experience with Abernathy's?

Thanks in advance.
