when i was 15 i was riding a warrior, and could safely handle (kind of, but heart always racing) a ds.
blaster in my opinion is more a quad for girls/young boys/people who cant afford anything better

A blaster would be fine for a 15 year old if you have no or very little riding experiance. You can get them pretty dang cheap if on a budget. They are 2 stroke so they are easy to work on. If you happen to find one that has ben ported with a 240 kit a pipe and most important on the older ones, upgraded brakes then you can keep up with stock 250R's with no problem. If you want something that you can ride for years to come then a 400ex would be great also. Now as far as tracks are concerned, a blaster is more a novice ride that is short and narrow. the 400ex is built so that you can have fun doing just about anything you want to do. You would probably feel big for the blaster soon if you are of average size. If bigger then it will feel awkward. If you are smaller framed for 15 then it might be ok. All in all I'd go 400ex for a bike to own for more than 2 years. If you are learning and know of a blaster for cheap learn on it and pass it on then get yourself something a little bigger.
