Upgrade 86 250R to a ESR 370???

Upgrade 86 250R to a ESR 370???
some people are telling me to just do the 370 kit and be done with it. Is this a safe way to go? Am i getting a lot less reliable with the 370? I am leaning towards the 350 stoked 4 to 5 mm with a 38mm Airstryker Carb and a TRX5 Pipe.... Is this the best way to go???
