They are all gonna laugh at me!

No, I don't think they all are going to laugh at you. A few, maybe, but just consider the source. In fact you might be surprised to find you have a lot of company. If not this time but next time for sure after you break the ice for the others. They may have to create a new class for 200cc utes!

I don't think anybody will laugh at you. Just run the course, enjoy it, and do the best you can. It is all the same no matter what quad you are riding. I have seen a DS650 beat bad by a Blaster in MX. If you can ride well, you will do fine. One thing; when the gate drops, don't go all out on your first race. Try as hard as you can to relax, ride smoothly, and just ride the course as best you can. It is tough to keep the jitters off, and not spend all your energy bouncing around before the gate drops, but it is sooooooo awesome when it does...
I think you will have A LOT of fun!
Good luck!

I think you will be alright. I rode today with a guy on an old Yamaha IT 175 dirtbike, and a guy on a Kawasaki Bayou 220. I was on my Trail Blazer. We rode around a local track that is open to the public at any time. It is not an official MX track. BUT, there were about 20 dirtbikes there, along with Banshee's, 250r's, and many other MX gifted quads. No one laughed at us that I know of, and we actually had a ton of fun talking and riding with the other guys.
And if someone laughs, who cares, at least YOU are having fun!

Yes, they will all laugh at you, but it's a good kind of laugh, don't let it bug you, they'll be cheering you on, being the underdog and all. They'll love it.

Rampage,
Hey if you have never been to spokes it is a very nice track not real techincal. But it is a nice place to practice. The also have a mini track you might be able to ride. or you could go to the top of the hill and ride the other MX track. People want laugh, but be warned Tim Farr ocasionaly goes down there.

I just got back, and I had a great time. I mostly rode on top of the hill, and did quite a few jumps. I stayed off the big track, and the small (pee-wee?) track is for 80cc and under bikes only, so I couldn't go on it. I felt a little more secure because I was there with XR80rampage, and Xr80's aren't exactally the best jumpers. We both did fine and the only wreck was his. I'm planning on going again next sunday, but I'm gonna take off my racks and some other stuff to save weight. Also, since visiting there, I have decided to sell my current dirtbike (xr185) and buy a Cr80r. And to top it off, not one person even made a joke or laughed about my recon. So, if anyone feels insecure taking a utlilty like recon to a MX track, do it anyway. It's awsome and other people have more important things to do then make jokes about what you are riding.
