Ok everyone my friend just got a 2001 400ex with some mods on it such as White bros pipe, k&n jets and airfilter and my other friend has a YZ85 with some mods such as FMF shorty silencer, jets and Twin airfilter. Which one would be faster off the line and in top end speed, my friend with YZ85 says that he's almost the same speed, answers will be great here so we could find out who's right and who's wrong.

 

what year is it? * I think * it will beat you outta the whole, and probaly till like 4th gear if he knows how to ride, but you will have better top speed,i doubt he will go over 65

Hey sickmojave i like your trikes i have the same year and model. For its age mine kick a$$ i will never sell mine i had it since i was sixi just have a k&n airfilter on it but it fly 55mph. But anyway i can't believe that the YZ85 will beat the 400ex. By the way biohaZ it's a 2002 YZ85.

 

400ex's are by no means a fast quad. ride the little 85 once and you'll understand how it can run your 400ex down.

 

Depending on the size of the rider on the yz and his skill. I think you would have a hard time keeping up using any quad. those little bikes are FAST
