Default stage 1 or stage 2?

i plan on boring my 400ex to a 440 soon. is a hotcam stage 1 or stage 2 better for the 440 kit from weisco. i would want more midrange and topend power. thanks

Default stage 1 or stage 2?

does the stage 2 take away from your lowend to midrange? i remember hearing that from sumwhere but is this true?

Well do you think that in your case you will notice the difference? You should gain quite a bit of low end with the 440 kit. It has been explained to me that mid and topend gains are good, and more cc's give you your bottom end back. The right one for you will depend on what kind of riding you do. Are you drag racing, MX, TT, pleasure riding?

mostly mx but sum trail riding.. and i wanan run with my friends yfz

on the hotcam website it says stage 2 works well with overbore

the stage 2 is more of a top end cam. it won't have the bottom end power that the stage 1 has though. i have a stage 1 forsale if your interested.

well with my pipe i should have the same bottem end i have now with the overbore right? the kit im looking at has a hotcam stage 2 in it so i think i might just get that because i wanna run with my buddies yfz. topend is where he has me but from 1-4th its pretty even

Do you have to get different valve springs with the stage 2?
