DINGERS1,

It is a direct bolt in swap regarding the engine mounting.

However, you will need the intake manifold from the 200X engine to keep the carb lined up with the airbox intake boot and you will need to make a bracket for the footpeg on the right side.

One more thing, most people who do these swaps end up lengthening the fottpeg on the left side because the recoil starter assembly takes up so much foot space.

Because of that, and the right side bracket situation......I would just go and make a new set of matching pegs that mount in a location suitable for your riding style.

Good luck.

we had problems with the left side footpeg when we did a swap, the shaft for the shifter was to long and we couldn't bolt the peg up...we handled it the wrong way now that i think about it ,rather then building a bracket to mount the peg too,we took the shifter off the shaft cut the shaft down about an inch then welded the shifer to the shaft........it's been working great but we should have done it the proper way, doesn't matter now cause were swapping bottomn ends that one is stripped where the front sprocket shaft,so were better off to use another bottom end.

there is no rear brake on it yet,as for the exhaust it's just a cobra muffler and header it's made for 185/200cc honda trikes,it fit no problem..

I TRIED THE STOCK EXHAUST FROM MY 1983 200 ATC THAT WONT FIT BECAUSE IT COMES OUT THE REAR IN THE MIDDLE OF THE BIKE. THE 200X COMES OUT TO THE RIGHT SIDE. I DONT HAVE THE 200X EXHAUST SO MAYBE I'LL LOOK ON EBAY. ANY IDEAS ON THE REAR BRAKES?

I did a similar swap, except I used a 1981 185s engine. The stock 200x exhaust bolted right up to the 185 engine. I think your 200 is simply a bored out 185 so it should bolt up also. I used the 200x carb and manifold, they also bolted right up. I didnt change anything on the rear brake, still used the stock brake peddle.
