Ok, messin` around with my 03 400ex my wife just got for my birthday...I have replaced an a-arm, put on different shocks and handlebars, different steering stem on the way but, I cannot get a socket on my sparkplug... even went and bought a 18mm deep socket....sparkplug socket and 18mm seem to be to thick to get down in head...... what`s the trick????..

Default spark plug question

a few options:

buy the tool that comes in the kit from the factory
by a thin walled deep well ( i have talked to people who have a thin walled deep well craftsman that does fit)
grind down the sides of your deep well so it fits

Hondaguy, 5/16 is only 1/14 over a quarter inch, that's one small plug you got there !!!!!

Does 1/4 plus 1/14 equal 5/16? (Just giving you crap )
5/16 is .3125"
18 mm is .7086"
Should be able to get a replacement plug socket from the dealer.
