Winter Riding! love it. I sugest you get Heated grips for your Rancher, you have a choice of heat! Low Hi or off
I saw the Heated grips in a honda atv magazine at the dealer in pensilvania where i go riding. So im sure that you will be able to get them even if you search on the internet for them, Im not sure what brand makes them but they will make your hands warm while riding!.

i ride all year around and i suggest hand and thumb warmers.
and hand gaurds they block the wind.
and if you want to go a step ferther a windsheild maybe.
and electric socks.
i dont know where you can get the socks but they will keep you feet warm cause when your feet and hands get cold the funs all over.
hope this helps.
and as for tires i had gators last winter and i found them very good in the snow and i have mudlites on my honda this year and im hopeing that they are just as good or better in the snow.
i know the lites are just as good in the mud and hard pack stuff as the gators.
