Default 2003 400ex Air Filter

I am about to get an air filter and i am wondering what combonation i should do? do i need to get a pro design billet aluminum adapter to put a k&n on? also there is this thing in the motosport catalog and it is a whole new air box that is basically made out of k&n material, should i get that or just get a k&n and a xtream power lid ( http://alba.buyol.com/Item/HA%2D4099%2DT.htm )? please help

Forget the K&N, get a Uni, remove the snorkle, plug the hole, and take the lid off.

UNI. It has a two stage filter and a replacement screen insert, that is way less restrictive than that miserable stock one! http://www.unifilter.com/ You don't need a Pro Flow adapter, like you do on the Z400.

I like the vented airbox lid, with an Outerwears filter. http://www.ehsracing.com/

I have switched all my bikes from K&N back to UNI foam. I just don't thrust the K&N's that much.
