hey all. I love my LT250 to death and have spent lots of $$$ on it. But i really want a good, reliable thumper. This kid has a 250X wich is pretty quick, with lots of mods. Do you think it would be a decent trade? the pics of the 250 are in my profile. Its a 92. If not, any one wanna trade? Possibly a 400ex or (wish) a banshee? thanks.. if u serriously wanna trade PM me with what ya got! JUST REBUILT!

i know the banshee isnt a 4-stroke but its like my dream quad. hey tractorpactor, how much you asking for the banshee in your profile? also, is a LT for a X really an, OK trade..

 

well to get off on a better foot with u id say keep the lt. but if u want a 4 stroke forget the 250x and save a lil more for a 400ex. unless the 250x is a real good deal, like under $2000, or a trade and he gives u $500

 

I don't think it would be a good trade unless that X is extremely modded. You could probably get an older 400. If you really want to get rid of it, sell it for about $3000 and you can pick up 400's for that. Even Banshees go that cheap around here. IMO though, I wouldn't trade your LT for a 'Shee. I've switched back and forth between the two for 2 weeks and I prefered the LT for it's better suspension and handling.Good luck!

 

Oooops. I just realized that your LT is an 86. I haven't ridden an 85-86 and they have quite a few differences from the 87-92's. It may be a worthwhile trade if he tosses in some money[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

 

there are alot of 400ex riders out there, id trade for one of those over the 250x. is his 250 faster than your 230? if not i wouldnt trade it.

 

I have a LT250R. His 250X has +1 SwingArm, MegaMax, K&N, Jet Kit, +4 Axle, Holeshots, alot of stuff. But i dont think i will be trading as i just got my LT250R to FINNALY run right [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

 

It looks like you made the right decision. I had a 250X for three years, they are great machines, but I always liked to ride my 250R more. The LT250 has a lot more potential than a 250X. In my part of the country you can buy a 250X for $1500.
