Are you saying you already have the LRD pipe on it?
Yeah, Predators are not slow. My buddies got a stock 04. On asphalt, I can barely keep up with him till I hit 4th then he's gone. I would figure a 440 would do a little better than that though.

well i raced my buddies stock yfz450 and i was half a quad length behind him until we both hit 5th then he slowly pulled away from me. im soon boring to a 440 and i here its a pretty good gain and i should stick right with him all the way through 5th. i dunno how the predator compares to the yfz though. im also 6'6'' and 245lbs and my friend is 5'11 and 180lbs. lol

Well since your local maybe tell us who "set up" your engine and that can help figure whats happening with the performance. Some are deff better than others, and we all have an off day lol.
The Pred does make some good hp, but its also heavy and unless there was some work done to it there not really great on bottom end power. Overall there a pretty fast machine but not more than a worked 440 can handle if it was done right.
Some things that could effect how your 440 is making power. Compression, is the engine making really what you think it is (did see you say ported, and decked so maybe you do know the actual comp). Cams, sorry but you got the wrong one and it really holds back a well built 440. Exhaust, you have a great mid to top pipe and silencer set up, but the cam isnt letting you get the most from it. Porting, was it done right? and lastly gearing, if your running the stock 15/38 your geared wrong for the engine.
There is a whole lot more but those are the basics or what was obvious to me etc, but let me know how those sound to you and see what we can figure from there.
I dont get on this site too often but will reply soon as I can, or email etc.

yep, 4th is my weakest gear on my 426. i tried to lower the gearing two teeth in the rear and i lost a ton of 4th gear power for drag racing. it may have something to do with my x-6 exhaust. my buddies x-4 and my other buddies full hmf doesn't seem to have the problem. the x-6 just revs higher than both of those and you need to stay at the highest rpm possible.

They are very fast from the factory and then when yo umod them they get even faster--- I was beating up on yama 450s when they first came out stock for stock--- My buddy just picked up the 05 pred with rev.... it is even faster than my 03 with all my mods
