Default ceramic header pipe

i had jet hot do my yoshi. header pipe (brand new) with their sterling ceramic coating the thing really looked great. but after one weekend of riding at pismo the first 6-8 inches turned a dull gray. any ideas? or is this common with cermic headers? i thought it was suposed to look shiny for a long time. so i'm not to pleased right now. has this happened to anyone else?

the coatings won't stay really shiney. it will be a silver or gray color over time. you could try waxing the header to bring a bit more shine out of it. also, i am wondering if your lean on your jetting and it was just running a bit hotter than it should. this could make your pipe turn colors.
