i would like to know what is the best pipe for a 400ex, i want one that adds power from bottom to top end,i am concederating fmf powercore,fmf megamax2 ,pro circuit and any thing else. i would appriciate your advice, thanks

my hubbie put the BIG GUN complete system on his 00 400ex and also the complete system on my 00 300ex, just a little louder, sounds great, more power too!

I just put the WB E-series on my 400EX, and it made a very noticeable difference in power, especially in the low-end grunt and midrange. It used to bog down bad and stumble sometimes if the RPMs dropped below midrange while hillclimbing. Now it's nuthin but torque, it just keeps pulling up the hills! I'm running all 12 disks, and it's much louder than stock, but I think it's still quieter than most race pipes. I'm very happy with it.

 

I have a Pro Circuit and love it.

 

absolute favorite to me is the DMC double barrell. It gives your bike a different type of deep tone. Plus it looks really nice. I heard that the yoshimuri one is supposed to be the best, if you get the racing pipe.

 

I put the complete Big Gun system on mine, with the spark arrestor. Made a huge difference, but, yes, it is quite a bit louder. (One advantage, it is ceramic coated, and doesn't get as hot, or turn blue)
