I will be buying a used 400ex in the next couple of months, what is the best slip on for mx?

HMF is really a popular slip on now days.. They're priced really well and seem to be built well, and you can get a quite core for them when you want to ride where sound level is an issue.

hmf's makes really good gains in the bottom to mid range

I have a pro-circuit t4 personally, and like it. I don't think that there is much of a difference between the t4 and an hmf.
