Hey guys, I have a 87 honda 125 TRX, I am wondering what the ports are on the carburator. the bottm under the bowl i have no clue what it is. and there is one about half way up on the carb. then there is one that the fuel line is connected to. Please help. if anyone has a vacum diagram that would be great. Thanx

 

The one on the bottom is a bowl drain hose and the one on the side is a vent hose . I dont think they should be connected to anything. Just hanging downwards.

 

alright thanx. I have this other problem with teh carb. when i start the motor, the engine idles then goes high rev then back low then high for minutes on both low and high. i have a carb rebuild kit, just the o-rings. I have no idea whats going on.

 

Check for an intake boot tear or leak in the intake tract to the engine.

 

Wistech is right on! Most likely a leak in the air intake somewhere. Too much air leans out the fuel/air ratio and it wants to run away. Just a trick I like to use.... (engine running fast) Get a can of fogging oil, using the extended tip, spray a little around the intake areas, connections, one at a time. Look for the rather thick spray to be drawn in, and some smoking out of the exaust. Engine rpm's will slow. More than one leak is possible. Locate and repair (replace) as you go. Hope it helps.
