440ex keep up with the new 450s
440ex vs a 450R... The R got 10 more cc off the bat also a 440 kit isn't a true 440 CC... DOHC > SOHC.... The only way you might b able to hang is becauz thier trying to make new quads emission legal lol what a joke that is... my 440 ex worked gets a nice spanking by the yzf450.. I haven't raced the 450 R yet.

i can't believe i don't see more ex's beating the 450's. the 4th gear of the yfz's seem to be the strongest to me. on my 426, i have only raced two stock yfz's, and i was quicker than them both. we raced from a roll to the middle of 5th gear. the piped one i raced pulled on me pretty good in 4th. he pulled a couple bike lengths on me in 4th alone. i have never raced a 450r. i am wondering if the riders on the two stock ones weren't shifting perfectly or something. we are similar weight and we even tried a different rider on one stock one. however, my bike still beat it. i think stock they are around 38 horsepower but by piping them you may be able to uncork an extra 10 horsepower.
