If it is nice as you say it is then you have a chance at selling it for 5,000. I'm from oregon and the really nice modified ones go for around 6500-10000. Ive seen stock ones go for 3500-3800. One in mint might go for 5000

By the way, you don't have to rebuild an R every year. If you trail ride and run the pre-mix at the OEM 20:1 rating they are nearly as reliable as four strokes. Most people lean out the pre-mix to 32:1 and have no problems. At 20:1 it looks like your fogging mosquitos though.

Yesterday I bought an '86 in good shape for $3100. The seller threw in a six-pack rack for a 2.5 gallon gas tank, the gas tank to go with it, the set of original rear rims (still in OK condition) and some left-over tranny fluid. I'm really happy with my purchase. It will be a fun quad on which to ride and wrench.

I would say all of our 250R's appreciated today. With the introduction of the TRX250EX, the 250R will have to bail Honda out for another year. I don't know how much longer they can let a 12 year old bike defend the high performance title Honda has held for so long.
