how will 400ex do up against a blaster
im not gettin on ure back man, sorry if i sounded that way
umm, hmm, mmm, if i get my cylinder bored twenty over i dont need to port it? i never said it was ported all boreing it that small amount does is freshen up the cylinder and remove any marks from the old rings on the cylinder contact. then honeing it to clean it up.
i know the 400 will win, but i do know this
2001 blaster, with fmf, .020 over wiseco, reedspacer, and 20" tires beat a 2004 yamaha warrior, with a T4, 22" holeshots all around. the 350 might have won top end but the blaster walked it, it was my friends bike, and he told me "u drag it, being you are obivously a better rider" i did and lost by 2 bike lengths. switched to me on the blaster and i won by about 2-3 bike lengths. me on the 400 STOCK vs. the blaster i beat that same blaster by 4 bike lengths, in 4th gear. beat the warrior by about 6. no matter who rode what bike the difference was only about 1 bike length.
I for one have never ridden a 300ex so dont want to state untruthful info, i will let the 300ex owners have there say

i always say one thing
we are in the sport togeather, and we are the ones who are keeping it alive, the important this is that we all ride, no matter what that may be, lets just unify and fight off those epa guys, and enviromentalists from ruining our sport we love so much.

i've rode both and i'd say it's real close only considering that my brother's 04 400ex is stock and my buddy's Blaster has FMF Pipe, Boyesen Reeds, Jetted, and bored .040 over, but it'd be real close, and I watched him on his blaster beat my other buddy's 04 Warrior with a Cobra Pipe on it, stock for stock the 400 would smoke it, a 300ex would lose by 1-2 quad lengths, and the Warrior would win by a little, I know from experience
