Default Piston? What's better?

I have the 13:1 JE - had that in there for over a year with heavy riding every weekend - Never replaced the rod and I run stock studs and its runs really good with no problems whatsoever - ZERO. I just put in the race head with porting and larger valves as well as a light flywheel and twist 1/4 to full throttle.

Just point me to the YFZs and this 260lb 440EX rider will kick butt .....

So its safe to run 94 in my quad if I got the 11:1 Ross piston? What power gains will there be?

without changing the cam, i would say not a ton. with changing the cam, you will get great gains. a good full exhaust makes a pretty big difference when you start doing motor mods. i run that octane on my 11:1. some builders say you should go with higher others say you will be fine. i haven't had any problems.

Thanks I wasn't planning on just goin with the piston. I was thinkin first full exhaust, then at the same time I would put in a Cam and the Piston.

You think it would run good with a stage 2 hotcam? Also where can I get a lighter piston pin?

i ordered all my piston and sleeve from C&D racing. they had to special order the piston pin. i am not sure if JE makes one too, but i know ross does because i have it.their # is 308-696-7805. the prices seem to be pretty good to.
