450r shocks on a 400ex

Default 450r shocks on a 400ex

i was wondering if a 450r front pair of shocks could fit on a 400ex and if not what would i have to do to make them fit and if they do does anyone have any 450r shocks layin around they wanna sell????

The fronts will work and they are also alittle bit longer, the rears will not work fyi.

I got the rear to work. It bolted right up, even let the bike sit a little lower.

if the mount widths are the same or u can bend them to fit u can usualy get the shock in. for example i put stock 300ex shocks on an old recon. they work fine not exactly persion fit because the 300ex shocks are much longer but it works fine, espesialy the rear

Yes, The 450r shocks will fit but would need reworked to function properly. If you find a set cheap it's worth it but at ebay prices and the cost of revalving your better off buying Works. Trust me I just went through this with Baldwin. Works A/T Steelers $359 at rockymountain
