hey i have a 02 400ex i've been haveing a prob. starting it i push the electric start button and nothing happens (no noise either) i thought it might be the bat. so i got a new one nothing still [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif[/img]

 

Sorry for the obvious, but you did check the fuse, right?

 

make sure its in neutral

and check the killswitch, make sure its lined up in the middle

 

well to tell u the truth i didnt check the fuse i had no clue there was one........were is it ? thanks

 

Under the seat by the air box. There is a little plastic cover with a fuse and a spare if no one took it yet.

if all else fails check your grounds..

 

Try your starter solenoid, jump it with a screwdriver between the two post, if it starts then it could be your starter button, or the solenoid, of course if your grounds, and fuse is ok.

 

if all that doesnt work them just pull in your clutch, every once and a while it will do that on mine, it just wont make ne noise and then pull in the clutch and starts right up
