Default no sparking foreman

I have a 02 450 es foreman. After plowing snow 2 weeks ago I parked it in the garage. Needed to plow again tonight and found I have no spark! I have power to the coil(steady light on positive post, solid light on other post when cranking) but no spark at the plug. Any ideas, I hate the thought of $75.00 per hour only to have it be a simple fix(I hope).

Welcome to the forums.
Is the kill switch on?
Could the spark plug boot gotten wet, from the flying snow, and grounded out the plug?
Have you actually taken the plug out, and checked for spark?
still no spark....Try a new plug, first.

check your kill switch, its happened to me b4, man did i feel retarded, also does it have a backup starter, like a pull starter? does that work, try and fire it up, then kill it and try it with the electric start.

It also happens to me alot in the winter. Wearing thick gloves, you dont even know that it gets bumped off center, but all it takes is the smallest amount, and it kills the spark. Make sure its centered.

It looks like I need to track problems down better! It was the kill switch!! 2 weeks ago I pulled my transfer case & transmision on my full size bronco to fix a (I thought) leaking rear main. Turned out to be valve cover gasket so had to pull the top off to get to that. All this after just rebuilding it the previous week. Wheeler pushed that snow just fine tonight!! Thanks for the help!!

I still wonder why Honda or any ATV company still puts the 3 way kill switch on a quad. How many of yall use this? I never do. So am I going to use this switch and leave the key on to run the battery down. Heck know...I just turn the key off when I kill it.

i diss agree with that hudson, i like the 3 way, the kill switch is a signifigant safety feature and i think if at any point you need to immeadiatly kill the engine, its simple to just kit the switch once, rather than hitting the wrong way on your only chance.....

I have handle bar guanlets on. They really cut down on the wind, rain, and cold but do make veiwing the controls a little tricky! Small price to pay for great comfort though.
