this is the first time that i'll be changin the oil in my quad... there is no oil filter in 250ex's so all i have to do is take that bolt out from underneath the quad and let the oil drain out right? of course put it back in and put the oil in and such... how many quarts does the machine need? i was thinking somewhere along the lines of 1.5 to 2 quarts

 

First, only one post please. Didn't the bike come with a manual? If not, call your local dealer for the amount of oil needed, or just add some, check it, add some, check it. Also, it has no oil filter?

 

No the 250EX doesn't have one. it has a screen that you have to take the motor apart to get to. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-blush.gif[/img]

Now worries. Just check the manual, they are very helpful for things like this. That's a rather odd oil filtration system they have.
