just thought i'd ask the Honda folks if Honda has ever offered a "Special Edition" model ATV.

i know Polaris has offered some over the years: Ducks Edition, Freedom Edition, silver MagnumRMK, Dale Earnhart #8 Sportsman700EFI, a Diesel, 50 Anniv Sp500, and others.

Cant answer your question but my buddy bought a Raptor with some sorta 'special edition' package...Just black plastics with different stickers...Thats probably all most of them are....

 

the 04 limited edition z400 had yellow coil springs and a powdercoated frame. and of course the plastic colors and graphics

 

........Remmington Edition Sportsman, Troy Lee Predator500, ect., ect!~

Yep, thats all that almost all of them are. Except polaris, they actually add things to the package instead of just changing the colors. TLD predator is a good example, as are the RSE edition Sportsmans.

This only confirms the statement that they are nothing but packaging, again no answer to the question.

I have never run into a factory offered "special" or "limited" edition atv, sport or utility. The closest that you can get to one is when Honda releases "bold new graphics" every few years, or just changes plastic colors like the jet black 2005 TRX450R.

 

Hi Honda does have something called the Canadian Trail Edition Rubicon.

It has a new coil over shock design that is new from the ground up. that is only available in Canada.

Also it has a different decal package .......and the shocks and components are all red.

It was featured in the latest atv world mag...I can scan and post some of the photos if anyone is interested.

when i got my honda the had a deal where for a limited time you could get a rubicon with windshield winch and a brake light kit.
but you had to pay the full price to get it where as if you did like me and order the honda without anything then buy them after you can get a better deal on the quad.
but thats the only thing i've herd about the honda.
