Default Dirt Devils vs. Mud Lites...

What's you thoughs on these 2. Mainly need an AT tire. I do a lot of ridiing on pavement getting from lease to lease. Some mud but mostly hard pack.

So I need a tire that will wear well.

Also if you like the DD, do people put a XT on the rear and an AT on the front?

Thanks,
Rob

I have ran both DirtDevils and Mudlites and they are so close to being the same tire, you cant tell the difference. A great choice, just buy which ever you can get the better deal on. I always put the same tire size front and rear in the height and lug department, whether two wheel or four wheel drive. If you go with a 25inch or under it will be the smaller lug size, and of course the 26 up are a good bit larger. Both handle great on hard packed or muddy ground. The best tires in the world as far as I am concerned! HA HA

I put 27" Dirt Devils on my foreman, i believe that they weigh more than the mud lites but they are made of a harder rubber that would wear better on hard pack

just bought some dirt devils, not installed yet, i got the 25" and notice that the lug size is much smaller then there 26 series, but im not sure if its all mental, they look to be the same hight as my buddy's brand new bear claws so i don't know

i priced mudlights although they were more money and i have heard rumors they wear more on hard pack, and thats primarily what i ride so...

littlebill, the way I understand it is the 25 and unders are the DD AT, 27 and over are the XT. XT's have a deeper lug and cost more.

Read littlebills thread right before your own. He wrote about the sizes of the tire tread there.
