I was wondering if a cobra exhaust is good on a 250x... and how do they sound ?

 

I seem to recall several people complaining about noise output of Cobra exhaust, Performance wise, just about anything will be better than stock, just make sure you rejet!

They are super loud. It is ok for quality and power, but the noise isn't worth it. Get a FMF mega max2. I have seen them new on ebay for about $150. If you can't find one remember it is the same pipe as a 300ex.

 

is the cobra pipe the loudest one thats made or which one is the loudest ?

 

Trust me, loud is not good!!!

 

You do not want to go with a Cobra Exhaust!!! The one we put on our 250 EX broke twice at the weld where the silencer bolted onto the rear of the bike. It did sound ok, but definitely not worth the money.

 

i Had a very nice and clean 250x that I miss (as you can see in the pics) I had a Cobra pipe on it and it sounded damn good like a Chevy 350 with flowmasters lol but i do agree with most people it is LOUD and LOUD is not good on ATVs for a cuple of reasons

for example
Certian Loud pipes can not be entered in races
and it pisses people off and messes up people hunting if you ride trails

a couple of my buddy's had the dg pipe just like the cobra exhaust and the welds broke as well where it bolts up to the frame.. don't know if its a good choice or not.. and.. its very loud..
